At Renewal Church, we express our way of community life and ministry through, ministry areas and rhythms. Together, they form a common life and pattern of worship and mission, lived open to God and others, where God's renewing work, takes place in our lives and the lives of the world around us.
Living open means walking with others in their journey of faith, listening deeply, and tending to the soul. It is a ministry of presence and patience, modeled after the Shepherd who calls each by name, restores the weary, and leads with both truth and compassion. To live open here is to be tender and attentive—to both God’s leading and the real needs of people.
Living open means responding in wonder and worship, expressing the beauty and truth of God through creativity. This ministry reflects the God who spoke the world into being and delighted in its goodness. Christ, who sang hymns with His disciples and offered praise with His life, shows us how to open ourselves fully to God in adoration. Living open here means bringing your whole self—heart, mind, body, and spirit—into the act of worship and creative response.
Living open means sharing life vulnerably and faithfully with one another. Jesus shared meals, embraced the outcast, and called His disciples friends. This ministry reflects that shared table and shared life—through hospitality, communication, small groups, and rhythms of mutual encouragement. Living open here is about making space to be known and to know others in love, resisting isolation and building real fellowship.
Living open means being attentive to the needs of the world and willing to be sent. Jesus stepped into human history to serve, heal, and reconcile. This ministry expresses that same incarnational love—praying for the world, showing mercy, seeking justice, and joining God’s renewal of all things. Living open here is to be interruptible, responsive, and generous—offering your life for the sake of your neighbour.
Living open means recognizing everything as gift and offering it back in love. Jesus entrusted His disciples with responsibility and taught them to steward the Kingdom wisely and generously. This ministry embodies a quiet faithfulness, coordinating, sustaining, and supporting the life of the church.
Together, these five areas reflect our common calling: to follow the way of Jesus by living open to God and others, one Church, many gifts, joined in the ministry of Christ for the good of the Church, the city, and the world.
