All that we are and do begins and ends in Jesus Christ. God’s call and the outpouring of His love shape us into a community rooted in grace. In the presence of the Living God, we are being made whole—becoming whole persons and the whole people of God together.
Our values describe how the vision and calling of Renewal take shape among us. They reflect the way Jesus lived, open to God and open to others. We seek to walk in that same way, participating in the ongoing life of Christ among us, in our neighbourhoods, and throughout our city.
Communion is our posture of abiding in God’s life.
We need God to unite us with Himself and with one another. We need communion with God to live, to be made whole, and to walk as His people in the world.
It means:
The Living God sustains us and sends us to bear His life in the world. Christ longs for the whole world to come to know Him and to share in His reconciling love.In Jesus Christ, we share in the life of the Triune God.
Through our faith and baptism, we are joined to His death and resurrection, adopted , and welcomed into a life of grace and renewal.
At the Table, we are nourished by His presence-remembering His death, celebrating His resurrection, and anticipating His coming again.
Listening is our posture of humility and patience
We need God to speak, for His voice gives life and direction to His people. We need to listen to God in order to live faithfully. We need His living voice to shape the life of the Church, and we extend that listening to one another and to the world He loves. God is the One who calls, restores, and leads us through His Word and Spirit.
It means:
We begin in listening to the the living God through the witness of the Spirit, the Scripture, and to each other, trusting that our life and ministry flow from attentive faith, not from our own initiative.
We discern where God is already at work and how we may join Him, even when that requires courage, risk, or deeper trust.
Aligning our lives with God’s reconciling work, allowing His Word and Spirit to shape our direction, desires, and discernment
Formation is our posture of faithfulness and obedience
We need God to shape us into the likeness of Jesus.
We need God to form us as whole persons, that our lives may reflect His beauty and reveal His renewing presence in the world.
It means:
We are called to be lifelong followers of Jesus continually learning His way, being transformed by His love, and finding joy in His presence.
Transformation happens as we live in communion with the Triune God and one another.
It is both personal and communal through word, prayer, sacrament and share-life
Participation our posture of readiness to respond
We need God to help us see our lives and work within His life and mission. God seeks all people and calls each of us to share in His Kingdom and in the renewal He is already bringing about in the world. We are made members into a shared priesthood of all believers.
It means:
We participate as whole persons, mind, body, spirit, and soul, reflecting the wholeness of Christ's work
Each community is unearthing the gifts given to each person for the good of building up the Church for the good the world.
We are partners in His reconciling love, not with a spectator or consumer mindset.
Proximity is our posture of presence
We draw from God’s nearness to live near to others, learning to love through faithful presence. The Triune God is not distant but has made His dwelling among us. As Christ entered creation among a particular people in a particular place, our life together flows from this presence
It means:
Being incarnational, rooted and committed within a community, not distant observers.
Our ministry is not nameless, but grounded in genuine connection and mutual care, because God is personal and relational,
We take root in what God is doing uniquely in our neighbourhood and region. Our presence is to be gracious and compassionate, reflecting the mercy and patience of Christ, whose grace restores and renews.
