The gospel story marks the life of the church and re-invites and reflects in us that we live in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Through the Christian Year, we learn to live in rhythm with this story, allowing it to shape our worship, our prayers, and our daily lives.
The start of the Christian Year. A season of waiting and longing. We learn to hope for Christ’s coming, past, present, and future.
We celebrate the mystery of the Incarnation: God with us, God in the flesh.
A season of repentance and reflection. We journey with Jesus toward the cross through prayer, fasting, and generosity.
A season of joy centered on Christ’s resurrection and the victory of life over death.
We remember the gift of the Holy Spirit and the birth of the Church, sent into the world in God’s power and love.
As a church, we set aside two key moments each year for prayerful reflection, transparent communication, and shared discernment. These church-wide meetings are grounded in gratitude, stewardship, and the call to grow together as a body.
April (before Easter)
Review and receive financial reports from the previous year
Affirm and adopt the new annual budget
Hear a pastoral reflection and “pulse” on the upcoming year
Leadership and membership updates, including invitations to serve
October (near All Saints Day)
Share mid-year financial updates and begin budget planning for the next year
Offer a pastoral reflection and pulse on church health and direction
Leadership and membership updates, including seasonal needs and discernment
Portions of each meeting may be designated for members, especially when involving decisions about leadership, finances, or governance. These meetings are not only about decisions they are about listening to what the Spirit is doing among us, and learning to walk together in faithfulness and love.
Our Ministry Collectives are spaces to tend to the spiritual rhythms of the church. They are shared planning and prayer rhythms that align ministry areas with the life and direction of the whole church.
Each collective supports new and existing ministry teams by grounding them in prayer, discernment, and collaboration across areas. These rhythms help us listen together, plan seasonally, and walk in unity as a church.
