Our life together doesn’t end at the door of the church. As people who belong to Christ, we are a Sent People, because God has revealed Himself as the One who goes, the One who dwells with, and the One who responds in love. The Father sends the Son, The Son sends the Spirit. The Spirit sends the Church.
“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me… He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released…” (Isaiah 61:1)
“As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” (John 20:21)
Being sent isn’t just about doing good things. It flows from the heart of a relational God, whose love overflows into the world. We are called to embody Christ’s presence with humility, compassion, and discernment in every part of life- home, neighborhood, city: “Live properly among your unbelieving neighbors...they will see your honorable behavior and give honor to God” (1 Peter 2:12).
Rhythm: Regular weekly prayer (in-person or at home)
Commitment: 8-month seasonal cycle
Description:
Intercession is the hidden engine of the church’s ministry. It tills the ground for Gospel fruitfulness. As the Apostle Paul wrote, “The Spirit helps us in our weakness...the Spirit himself intercedes for us” (Romans 8:26). At Renewal Church, Intercessors are those who commit to pray with discipline, love, and attentiveness, bringing the needs of the church and the world before God in hope. From weekly worship to global missions, intercessory prayer surrounds every ministry with grace. We follow Christ our Great High Priest, who “ever lives to intercede” (Hebrews 7:25). Whether we are praying for healing, discernment, breakthrough, or peace, we believe that God acts through the faithful, quiet work of prayer.
