How wonderful it is to live together!
Renewal Church Life Together documents our common life and the particular way the people at Renewal Church Ottawa is learning to live as faithful and joyful followers of the resurrected Jesus Christ. It speaks on how we are organized, how we work together, how the leadership is structured, how our ministries are defined, our rhythms (e.g. worship, fellowships, retreats) and so forth. You'll find things like bylaws to policies to theological position statements and our ministry day-to-day.
More than an organization: Unity in Christ
While we are an organization, its structures and operation cannot eclipse the reality that through Jesus Christ, we live in commitment to loving one another and we join with the living Triune God in loving and working for the flourishing of the people in our neighbourhoods.
"The unity of the community is in Christ, through him alone do we have access to one another, joy in one another, and fellowship with one another" as German Pastor Dietrich Bonhoeffer writes in his short reflections on Christian community, Life Together (and to whom we are indebted to this title).
God is wonderfully and intimately present in all creation: in Him we live, move, work and play.
